Earned Media Director replacing Creative Director and Paid Media Execs - As the link suggests they would be in charge of amplification around media in earned channels with less reliance on a paid media or creative team.

Chief Futurist replacing Chief Culture Officer - Most companies have neither but it will be important to track where trends are going in the future and not simply what’s hot right now.

Chief Linguist replacing PR Managing Director - Most companies put an emphasis on PR but in the future it will be much more important to have a person who can decipher language to make sense of sentiment and engage in the conversation rather than simply pushing out messaging that makes no sense to your targeted demographic that uses slang.

Collaborative Innovation Officer replacing CEO - CEOs make money for the company they’re in and learn nothing by being insulated. The future company will be open sourced, collaborative and still earn money based off their specialty working with other companies that are experts in their space.

Chief Technologist Officer replacing Chief Digital Officer - It’s not enough to “know” digital. You must live it, code it, breathe it, create it and engineer it. Strategists will mean little in the future unless they can also be developers, builders, creators, engineers.
